The golf travel program sky Golf-Tours is produced by Martin Gremmelspacher, the Managing Director of askTeleVision.
He began his career in the 80s, when he produced his first short documentary films, which always represented a mixture of adventure, sport and culture.
Before starting his career as a producer of documentaries and other travel formats, Martin Gremmelspacher was one of the world’s best snowboard professionals and often acting in front of the camera himself. In 1990 he was invited by Willi Bogner and John Eaves for the film production “Fire, Ice and Dynamite” to do hot dogging stunts for “mistral” snowboards in cinema format.
In the 1990s he made his breakthrough as a cameraman for the three-part film “Unterwegs in Afrika” and as a production manager for the program “Im Schatten der Vulkane (Kamchatka),“ Each production for the ARD series “Countries, People and Adventure” of Germanies official program.
Martin Gremmelspacher founded his production company askTeleVision (Adventure / Sport / Culture) in 1993. In the following years he produced documentaries for ARD, DSF, VOX, ProSieben, National Geographics, GEO and other TV stations.
Martin Gremmelspacher celebrated some of his greatest successes with productions for ARD and WDR. In 1997 he realized the first live broadcast of an expedition for the WDR program “On foot through Tibet”. The first live ascent of a Himalayan giant, the ascent of Ama Dablam (6658 m) with world´s famous mountaneer Hans Kammerlander, he was able to successfully implement for the ARD morning magazine in 2002. And in 2007 Martin Gremmelspacher climbed Kilimanjaro in Tanzania together with Johannes Kaul (formerly WDR head of ARD Morgenmagazin) as part of a film production. The live production “live from Kilimanjaro” by ARD Morgenmagazin, which was subsequently realized, was also initiated by Martin Gremmelspacher in 2008 and successfully carried out by Johannes Kaul and the WDR team.
Martin Gremmelspacher produces the golf travel magazine Golf-Tours for DSF since 1998 and has continued to develop it ever since.
A new travel magazine will be created: Golf tours AskTeleVision produced various contributions and programs for the sports broadcaster DSF until 1998. Including a sports program dedicated to golf and travel, which has been broadcast since 1998 under the title “Golf Tours”. The private broadcaster Premiere took over the sports travel magazine in series after 1998 and over the years the “Golf Tours” program has captured more and more golfers’ hearts.
After the end of premiere, Sky took over this successful broadcast format in 2009. Today sky Golf-Tours is the most successful travel magazine in Europe, measured by the frequency of broadcasting and the length of its existence.
